ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg Police detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred early Friday evening on the city’s south side.
Emergency personnel responded to the 4200 block of 15th Avenue South just after 6:30 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Officers secured the residential area to preserve evidence and look for witnesses.
One victim was located at the scene and transported by emergency medical services to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. Information regarding the victim’s identity, age, gender, and medical condition has not been disclosed by authorities.
No suspects have been named, and no arrests have been reported. The St. Petersburg Police Department stated that the investigation is ongoing and noted that “additional information will be released once it becomes available.”
