ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg police are asking for the public’s help to identify two men who vandalized a downtown high-rise building over the weekend.
According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, the incident occurred on July 11th at approximately 11:30 p.m. at the Residences at 400 Central Avenue.
Police report that the two suspects targeted the exterior of the property, ripping up 14 landscaping lights from the ground. The men then broke three large glass windows on the building before fleeing the scene.
In total, the destruction caused an estimated $96,000 in damages to the property.
Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the building and surrounding area to identify the suspects. The St. Petersburg Police Department urges anyone with information about the vandalism or the identity of the two men to contact them immediately.
