ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The City of St. Petersburg has scheduled four virtual community meetings to discuss St. Pete Agile Resilience (SPAR), a citywide initiative focused on accelerating infrastructure projects to reduce flooding risks.
The online educational sessions are designed to inform residents and business owners about the progress and goals of the SPAR program.
According to city officials, the featured flood mitigation and infrastructure upgrades will impact neighborhoods, businesses, and essential services across the entire municipality.
Residents can choose from four separate meeting times, though advance registration is required for each session:
- Friday, July 17, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Monday, July 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
- Monday, July 20, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, July 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
City subject matter experts will lead the presentations and take questions from the public during a live question-and-answer segment. The sessions aim to show how current and future projects are designed to protect local communities while strengthening the city’s overall resilience against flood-related threats.
