ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.- Motorists traveling in St. Petersburg should prepare for overnight closures of the eastbound Gandy Boulevard (SR 694) entrance ramp onto southbound I-275, starting this Sunday.
The ramp is scheduled to be closed nightly between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. on the following dates:
- Sunday, October 26 through Thursday, October 30
- Sunday, November 2 through Thursday, November 6
The closures are necessary to allow for temporary ramp construction work as part of the ongoing I-275 widening project.
DETOUR INFORMATION:
Drivers needing to access southbound I-275 will be directed to:
- Continue east on Gandy Boulevard.
- Exit to 94th Avenue N / 16th Street N.
- Turn left onto 94th Avenue N and continue under Gandy Boulevard.
- Turn left at 16th Street N and use the entrance ramp onto westbound Gandy Boulevard.
- Continue west on Gandy Boulevard and use the loop entrance ramp onto southbound I-275.
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) advises drivers to plan for extra travel time if using this route during the affected hours.
