Northbound I-275 Exit 30 Ramp to Toll SR 690, Toll 686A, and 118th Avenue N Closed; Motorists Advised to Seek Alternate Routes

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A critical northbound I-275 exit ramp was closed for emergency repairs today following a truck crash that caused significant damage to the pavement. The affected ramp, Exit 30, which provides access to Toll SR 690, Toll 686A, and 118th Avenue N, is expected to remain closed until sometime early Wednesday morning, pending weather conditions.
The incident, which occurred earlier today, left the roadway in a state that required immediate attention from repair crews. While the Exit 30 lanes leading to both eastbound and westbound SR 686 (Roosevelt Boulevard) remain open, drivers attempting to access the other routes are being rerouted.

For those needing to reach 118th Avenue N, the Florida Department of Transportation has provided a detour. Drivers are advised to exit onto westbound SR 686 (Roosevelt Boulevard), turn left onto 28th Street N, and proceed south to 118th Avenue N. However, access to Toll SR 690 and Toll 686A is unavailable from northbound I-275 while the ramp is closed. These toll roads can only be accessed from southbound I-275 during this time.
Authorities are urging motorists to plan their travel accordingly, allowing for extra time and following the posted detour signs to avoid further congestion. The repair crews are working to restore the ramp to a safe condition, and an update on the reopening will be provided as soon as it is available.
