MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A Summerland Key resident is facing serious drug charges after being arrested for trafficking cocaine.
Efrain Gonzalez Cruz was taken into custody on Wednesday following an investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives obtained a warrant for Cruz’s arrest after he was allegedly found in possession of approximately 2.7 ounces of cocaine.

Cruz was booked into the Monroe County Jail. The investigation is ongoing, and further details may be released as they become available.
