Law enforcement officers arrested a Groveland man early Thursday morning following a multi-agency narcotics investigation at a residence on Hidden Pointe Lane.
Detectives with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Bureau, along with officers from the Groveland Police Department, executed a search warrant at 177 Hidden Pointe Lane on July 30.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team secured the scene to allow investigators from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Clermont, Eustis, Groveland, and Leesburg police departments to search the home.
The search yielded a trafficking quantity of methamphetamine, pre-packaged cocaine and crack cocaine, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, six firearms—including two rifles, three shotguns, and one pistol—ammunition, and body armor inside the suspect’s bedroom.
The suspect, identified as 40-year-old Jason Allen Krueger, was detained at the scene and subsequently arrested. Investigators initiated the probe in January after the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Groveland Police Department received community complaints and Crimeline tips reporting suspected drug activity at the location.
Krueger faces multiple charges, including armed trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a bulletproof vest during the commission of a felony.
Due to the quantity of narcotics seized, the recovery of body armor, and the possession of firearms by a convicted felon, Krueger is being held at the Lake County Jail without bond.
