The Pinellas Park Police Department quickly called in the SWAT team to manage the high-risk scene.

In a brief statement, the department noted, “The SWAT team has been activated, and the scene is active with law enforcement.” It remains unclear if the individual is inside a residence or if any specific threats have been directed toward the public.

With the investigation still in its early stages, police have not confirmed any injuries or arrests. They have cautioned that information is limited at this time but promised that “more information will be released as it becomes available later in the investigation.”

Residents are advised to steer clear of the Briar Ridge Road area until the scene is cleared.
