TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay region is bracing for a significant warm-up this weekend as temperatures climb toward the mid-90s, followed by a series of shifts in wind patterns and overnight cooling.
Saturday will see the peak of this heat with clear, sunny skies and a high topping out near 92 degrees. Morning conditions will remain largely calm, with a light southerly breeze around 6 mph expected to develop by the afternoon.
As the sun sets, the sky will turn partly cloudy with an overnight low of 65 degrees. Winds will shift west-northwest at 5 to 7 mph before tapering off late in the evening.
The heat eases slightly on Sunday, bringing a high of 87 degrees under partly sunny skies. A light northwest wind will pick up to between 5 and 10 mph in the afternoon. Sunday night will be mostly cloudy as temperatures drop to 64 degrees, with a north-northeast wind arriving after midnight.

A more noticeable change arrives on Monday. While the day remains partly sunny, the high will reach a more temperate 83 degrees.
However, the wind will intensify, coming from the northeast at 11 to 14 mph with gusts reaching 22 mph. Monday night will be the coolest of the week, with a low of 56 degrees and continued breezy conditions.
The remainder of the week offers consistent sunshine and a gradual return to higher temperatures:
- Tuesday: Sunny with a high of 85; northeast gusts up to 21 mph. The overnight low will hover around 57.
- Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high of 84 and a low of 58.
- Thursday: Mostly sunny conditions with the mercury climbing back to 86.
- Friday: Full sun returns to end the work week with a high of 88.
