Tampa Bay Dials Up The Heat As Sunny Skies Take Over The Week

TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay area is shaking off a mild morning for a stretch of classic Florida sunshine, with temperatures expected to climb steadily toward the high 80s Sunday and through next weekend.

Today kicks off the trend under mostly sunny skies and a high near 86 degrees. A light northwest wind will shift to the west-northwest at 5 to 10 mph as the morning progresses.

Conditions will stay calm tonight with a few clouds and a low of 64. Winds are expected to shift from the west-northwest to the north-northeast after midnight.

Monday brings a slight dip in the mercury with a high near 83, though it will feel a bit brisker as northeast winds pick up to 14 mph, bringing gusts as high as 22 mph. By Monday night, the air will turn noticeably cooler, dropping to a low of 55 degrees.

The middle of the week remains dry and bright. Tuesday’s forecast calls for full sun and a high of 85, supported by an east-northeast wind gusting up to 20 mph. Overnight lows will hover around 57 degrees. On Wednesday, a few more clouds may drift in, resulting in partly sunny conditions and a high near 84.

As the week winds down, the region will see a gradual warming trend. Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high of 87, followed by a low around 60.

By Friday and Saturday, the thermometer is expected to hit 88 degrees under clear, sunny skies. Nighttime temperatures through the end of the week will remain mild, staying in the low 60s.
