Tampa Bay Forecast: Rising Temps, Daily Storm Chances Expected Through Early Next Week

TAMPA, Fla. – Residents across the Tampa Bay area can expect a steady increase in temperatures alongside a daily rhythm of scattered thunderstorms through the coming days. The local weather pattern is shifting toward a summer-like cycle, with heat indices climbing as the weekend approaches.

The immediate forecast for Wednesday calls for a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, primarily occurring before 2:00 PM. Skies will remain partly sunny with a high of 87 degrees.

Winds are expected to be light, shifting to the west at 5 to 10 mph during the afternoon. Overnight, the chance of rain drops to 20 percent, with temperatures cooling to a low of 68 degrees.

Conditions will dry out briefly on Thursday and Friday. Thursday will be sunny with a high of 87 degrees, while Friday sees the heat begin to build, reaching a high of 91. Both days are expected to feature mostly clear nights with lows ranging between 65 and 69 degrees.

The heat is projected to peak over the weekend and into Monday. Saturday and Sunday will both see highs of 93 degrees. While Saturday remains mostly sunny, a 20 percent chance of rain enters the forecast after 2:00 PM. Sunday’s rain chances increase to 30 percent in the afternoon and evening.

Looking toward the start of the work week, Monday carries the highest likelihood of precipitation at 40 percent, with a high of 93 degrees.

Tuesday will continue the trend of high heat and moisture, with a high of 92 degrees and a 30 percent chance of storms. Nighttime temperatures throughout the early part of next week are expected to hold steady at 70 degrees.
