Future’s Calling: Tampa Bay Aims to Strike Gold with Key Selections at Peacock Theater
TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Bay Lightning are poised to bolster their prospect pool with seven selections at the 2025 NHL Draft, scheduled for Friday, June 27, and Saturday, June 28, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The first round puck drops on Friday, June 27, at 7:00 p.m. ET. Hockey fans across the United States can catch all the action live on ESPN and ESPN+. The remaining rounds, 2 through 7, will commence at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, June 28, with live coverage provided by NHL Network and ESPN+.
The Lightning enter the 2025 NHL Draft with a balanced slate of picks, including a prominent second-round selection and a flurry of opportunities in the later rounds.

Their current selections are as follows:
- Round 2 – 56th overall (acquired from Los Angeles)
- Round 4 – 127th overall (acquired from Edmonton)
- Round 5 – 151st overall
- Round 7 – 193rd overall (acquired from San Jose)
- Round 7 – 206th overall (acquired from Utah)
- Round 7 – 212th overall (acquired from Minnesota)
- Round 7 – 215th overall
While the Lightning do not hold a first-round pick in this year’s draft, their acquisition of a high second-round selection and multiple seventh-round picks demonstrates a focus on finding hidden gems and adding depth to their organizational pipeline.
