The Society’s sixth Annual Pet Photo Calendar Contest is underway and is in search of what will be the calendar’s cover model.  Other spaces are available to showcase your pet to the world, but for sure, equally great are the prizes being lavished on the families of the pet calendar winners.

The Grand Prize includes Saddlebrook Golf for four, including green fees and carts, four bottles of Lagunitas Pale Ale, a six-piece beer tasting set and a dozen golf balls start off the Grand Prize.  It also includes 2020 season tickets to Adventure Island with a basket full of extra freebies and goodies, along with Busch Gardens Tampa family-of-four tickets with hats, cups, stuffed animals and more.  And let’s not forget to mention there’s a Sweet Treat gift basket and $500 in Columbia Restaurant gift certificates.  The Grand Prize winner also receives five free 2021 pet calendars.

All First Prize winners receive $100 Columbia Restaurant gift certificates, and Second and Third prize winners will receive photo ops for their pets inside the calendar.

Right now, Max, “King of the Wild Things,” has racked up 1,061 votes.  He’s a Maltipoo whose owner rescued him from PetPal in St. Petersburg, Florida.

The cost to enter the contest is $10 and each vote submitted is $1. So far, the Humane Society has raised nearly $13,000 of its $40,000 goal.

Voters from around Tampa Bay are plugging in their pick right now for which pet photo they favor, so hurry if you want to participate.  The last day to vote is July 31, 2020.  You can get your pet pictures submitted by registering online.
