Conditions today will remain mostly sunny and hot, with temperatures peaking near 95 degrees and heat index values driving the real-feel temperature up to 98 degrees. Winds will start calm before shifting northeast at 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Tonight will bring mostly cloudy skies and a low around 74 degrees, with east-northeast winds dropping down to light and variable after midnight.
Tuesday looks to repeat the early week pattern with partly sunny skies and a high near 93 degrees, keeping heat index values hovering around 97 degrees. The evening will stay mostly cloudy with a low of 74 degrees and an east wind moving between 5 and 8 mph.
Midweek brings the initial shift toward wet weather. While Wednesday will start mostly sunny with a high near 94 degrees, a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms enters the picture after 2 p.m. Those storms carry a 30 percent chance of lingering into the evening before tapering off by 8 p.m., leaving a partly cloudy night with a low around 75 degrees.
Rain chances spike significantly on Thursday. The region faces a 60 percent chance of precipitation, with showers and thunderstorms likely developing after 2 p.m. High temperatures will hit 94 degrees. The National Weather Service notes that storms remain likely Thursday night, mainly before 8 p.m., with temperatures dropping to a low around 75 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
Friday offers a brief, minor reprieve with a slightly lower 50 percent chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms, mostly after 2 p.m., alongside a high near 92 degrees. Friday night carries a 30 percent chance of rain before 2 a.m., with a low around 76 degrees.
The weekend introduces a consistent, wet weather pattern for local residents. Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday all carry a flat 60 percent chance of precipitation, with showers and thunderstorms listed as likely throughout the period. High temperatures through the weekend will hold steady at 92 degrees, while nighttime lows will dip to 75 degrees. Skies will range from mostly sunny to partly sunny during the daytime hours before turning mostly cloudy at night.
