TAMPA, Fla. – Residents across the Tampa Bay area can expect a steady climb in temperatures this week as a stretch of dry, sunny weather slowly gives way to typical Florida humidity and scattered rain chances.
According to the latest regional National Weather Center forecasts, the week starts on a pleasant note with Sunday seeing mostly sunny skies and a comfortable high of 79 degrees, supported by a light northeast breeze. Sunday night will remain clear and cool, with lows dipping to around 56 degrees, providing a brief respite before the heat begins to build.
By Monday, the mercury starts its upward trend, hitting a high of 82 degrees under full sun. Winds will shift slightly to the east between 6 and 10 mph, keeping the air relatively dry for the start of the work week. Monday night stays mostly clear with a low of 60 degrees.
The transition begins in earnest on Tuesday; while the high will reach 84 degrees, moisture levels will start to rise, bringing a 20 percent chance of isolated showers after 1 p.m.

The middle of the week marks a more significant shift toward summer-like conditions.
Wednesday’s high is projected to reach 86 degrees, and the probability of afternoon showers increases to 30 percent. Thursday and Friday are expected to be the warmest days of the week, with temperatures peaking at a sultry 88 degrees.
During this window, the atmosphere becomes more unstable, leading to a 30 percent chance of afternoon thunderstorms on Thursday and continued shower activity through Friday.
Nighttime lows during the latter half of the week will hover consistently in the mid-60s. Heading into next Saturday, the pattern remains largely unchanged with mostly sunny skies, a high of 87 degrees, and a 30 percent chance of scattered rain.
