Tampa Fire Rescue Knock Down Blaze In Abandoned Home

Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire on the 900 block of 14th Ave at approximately 4:10 pm on Saturday.

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire on the 900 block of 14th Ave at approximately 4:10 pm on Saturday.

According to officials, the first arriving engine found a wooden two-story abandoned home with heavy smoke and flames on the second floor. Due to the unsafe conditions of the structure, a defensive attack was used.

Firefighters had the blaze under control within 20 minutes.

Investigators from Tampa Fire Rescue, and Tampa Police Dept. are investigating the fire’s cause. There were no reported injuries to firefighters or civilians.
