TAMPA, FL. – Tampa Mayor Jane Castor today released a video of a conversation with Dr. Jason Wilson, a Tampa General emergency room doctor, hoping to encourage more people to get vaccinated amid a surge in COVID-19 cases.
Dr. Wilson said COVID hospitalizations have quadrupled in the past two weeks, with the average age of patients being in their 40s.
“If you don’t have a vaccine, you’re going to get COVID,” Dr. Wilson said.
“Bottom line, get vaccinated or get COVID,” said Tampa Mayor Jane Castor.
