Tuesday afternoon, Tampa Mayor Jane Castor announced she will order a shelter-in-place or stay-at-home order.
Monday, during the Hillsborough County Emergency Policy Group meeting, Mayor Castor was met with some oppositon on this order, without having a policy in place.
The details of the order are:
1.Non-essential businesses that are cannot abide by social distancing recommendations to close.
2. Essential businesses, grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations, and banks as well as any business that can shift its workforce to remote work, would be allowed to stay open.
This order will likely go in effect tonight at mid-night.
