TAMPA, Fla. – Jean Brooks has been located and is safe, according to the Tampa Police Department.
ORIGINAL REPORT: The Tampa Police Department issued a Purple Alert on Wednesday for 18-year-old Jean Brooks, who went missing after making statements that raised concerns for his well-being.
Brooks was last seen on the afternoon of July 22 in the 1200 block of East Sligh Avenue. He has not returned home. Authorities describe Brooks as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds.
Police reported that he was driving a white 2024 Dodge Durango with Florida license plate XVC309.
According to department officials, Brooks made statements to family members and loved ones prior to his disappearance that left them concerned for his safety.
Officers are actively searching for Brooks and are requesting assistance from the public.
“While Tampa Police are actively looking for Jean, we are asking anyone who may see him to call us immediately at 813.231.6130, so we can help reunite him with his family,” the department stated in a release.
