TAMPA, Fla. – The Purple Alert previously activated by the Tampa Police Department (TPD) for 37-year-old Tierra Thomas has been canceled.
Tierra Thomas, who was reported missing after last being seen leaving the 8500 block of North Elmer Street on November 5th, has been located safely and is now reunited with her family.
ORIGINAL REPORT: The Tampa Police Department (TPD) has activated a Florida Purple Alert and is seeking the public’s help to locate 37-year-old Tierra Thomas, who has been missing since Wednesday.
Tierra was last seen leaving the 8500 block of North Elmer Street on November 5th. She has not returned home, prompting concern from her family and law enforcement.
Description and Last Known Attire:
- Name: Tierra Thomas
- Age: 37
- Race/Sex: Black Female
- Height: 5 feet, 3 inches
- Weight: Approximately 180 pounds
- Hair: Recently styled in a short black afro
- Clothing: Last seen wearing a red t-shirt, red/white/blue shorts, and flip-flops.
The Florida Purple Alert is an alert system for missing adults suffering from mental or cognitive disabilities, brain injuries, or other physical, mental, or developmental disabilities.
The Tampa Police Department is asking anyone who may have seen Tierra Thomas or has any information regarding her current whereabouts to contact them at 813-231-6130. Community assistance is critical in helping to reunite Tierra with her concerned family.
