HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A single-vehicle crash on I-75 Saturday night sent three men to the hospital with serious injuries. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. near the 268 Milepost when a Dodge Charger, reportedly traveling at approximately 100 mph, lost control on the wet pavement.

According to authorities, the 25-year-old driver from Tampa was heading southbound with two passengers—a 24-year-old from Riverview and a 25-year-old from Land O’ Lakes—when the car hydroplaned.

The Charger, which was noted to have bald tires, spun out, left the roadway, and hit an embankment. The impact launched the vehicle into the air, where it collided with several trees before coming to a stop.

All three occupants were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. The current conditions of the men have not been released.
