Tampa Teen Dies After Being Shot In The Head During Drive-By Shooting: Police

TAMPA, Fla. – A 17-year-old was killed Saturday in a drive-by shooting. Tampa Police are investigating.

According to investigators, at approximately 3:25 p.m. Saturday, Tampa Police officers responded to the 3700 block of East Emma St. about a person being shot.

Units arrived on the scene and located a 17-year-old black male who sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

Responding units performed life-saving techniques on the scene.

Tampa Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported the teen to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Detectives are diligently working to identify any suspect(s) involved and what led to the incident.
