TAMPA, Fla. – Motorists in Tampa should anticipate a full road closure on Bayshore Boulevard today as the Tampa Water Department works to repair a water main break.

Starting at 10:00 AM, both northbound and southbound lanes of Bayshore Boulevard will be closed between South Kelly Road and Sanders Drive.

The closure is expected to cause traffic delays in the area. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and follow posted detours. Barricades and signs will be in place to assist with traffic flow.

The Tampa Water Department aims to complete the repairs and reopen Bayshore Boulevard to normal traffic flow by 5:30 PM on Wednesday, January 14th. However, additional work may be required at a later date, and updates will be provided if necessary.

The repair schedule is contingent on weather conditions.

The Tampa Water Department reminds drivers to exercise caution when traveling in the area and be aware of crews and equipment.
