TAMPA, Fla. – The eastbound lane of West Swann Avenue is currently closed between South Willow Avenue and South Edison Avenue as the Tampa Water Department addresses a water main break.
The closure is in effect immediately to allow crews to complete necessary repairs. Barricades and signs have been placed in the area to direct motorists and assist with traffic flow. Drivers are advised to use caution when navigating the vicinity.
The Tampa Water Department anticipates that the work will be completed and normal traffic patterns will be restored by 4:00 PM on Friday, October 10. This timeline is contingent upon weather conditions and the progress of the repairs.
Officials noted that modifications to the work plan may be necessary as the project progresses. While this repair addresses the immediate break, the Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date to perform additional work, and an update will be provided if that is necessary.
