Water Main Work Prompts Lane Closure on East Sligh Avenue
TAMPA, Fla. – A westbound lane on East Sligh Avenue is closed between Harney Road and River Trace Road as the Tampa Water Department conducts maintenance on the water distribution system.
The closure will start at 9 a.m. today, August 27, and is expected to last until Thursday, August 28, with a return to normal traffic patterns anticipated by 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Barricades and flaggers have been deployed to the area to assist with rerouting vehicles and managing traffic flow. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and exercise caution when traveling near the work zone.
The Tampa Water Department notes that modifications to the lane closure may be necessary as the work progresses.
