TAMPA, Fla. – Motorists traveling on West El Prado Boulevard in South Tampa should be aware of lane closures beginning today, March 10, 2025, due to maintenance work on the water distribution system.
The Tampa Water Department has announced that starting at 9 a.m., the outside eastbound lane and the inside westbound lane of West El Prado Boulevard will be closed between South Renellie Drive and South Hesperides Street.

Crews will be conducting necessary maintenance, and the closures are expected to remain in effect until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, weather permitting.
Barricades and signs will be in place to guide drivers through the area. However, motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid potential delays.
The Tampa Water Department advises drivers to exercise caution when navigating the work zone, as modifications to the lane closures may be necessary during the course of the project.
