TAMPA, Fla. – Starting at 9:00 this morning, the city of Tampa is shutting down a couple of lanes between North 36th and North 38th Streets. Specifically, the middle and right-hand lanes heading east will be blocked off.
This isn’t for a new problem, but rather to finish up an old one. The Tampa Water Department is heading back to that spot to put a permanent fix on the road after they repaired a broken water pipe earlier.
You’ll see plenty of orange cones, signs, and barricades out there to show you where to go. The workers are asking everyone to slow down and stay alert so everyone stays safe while they work.

If all goes according to plan and the weather stays nice, the crews hope to have everything packed up and the road wide open again by 4:30 this afternoon.
Just keep in mind that construction can be unpredictable—sometimes they run into surprises that change the plan, or they might have to come back another day to finish the job.
