Tampa Traffic Alert: Nightly Lane Closures On West Gandy Boulevard For Water Main Repairs

TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers in Tampa should be aware of upcoming lane closures on West Gandy Boulevard.

Starting tonight, January 5th, at 8:00 PM, the outside and inside eastbound lanes of West Gandy Boulevard will be intermittently closed between South Trask Street and South Hesperides Street.

The Tampa Water Department will be completing permanent restoration work following earlier repairs on the water distribution system.

One lane will remain open at all times to allow for eastbound traffic flow. Barricades and signs will be in place to assist with traffic flow. Drivers are urged to use caution when traveling through the area.

The lane closures are expected to be in effect until 4:00 AM on Monday, January 6th, at which time normal traffic patterns will resume. However, the work schedule may be adjusted depending on weather conditions.
