TAMPA, Fla. – Commuters traveling on South Lois Avenue will face lane closures starting today as the Tampa Water Department begins maintenance on the water distribution system.

Effective at 9:00 a.m. today, the northbound lane of South Lois Avenue will be closed between West Horatio Street and West Azeele Street.

Barricades and flaggers will be stationed in the affected area to manage rerouting and traffic flow, assisting drivers through the work zone.

The lane is scheduled to reopen to traffic daily by 4:00 p.m., but the closure will take place at 9:00 a.m. each following morning to continue the work.

Normal traffic patterns are expected to resume by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, provided weather conditions do not interfere with the work schedule.
