TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers in Tampa should anticipate a full road closure on Palm River Road between South 68th Street and South 67th Street starting at 9 a.m. today.

The closure is necessary for the Tampa Water Department to repair a water main break. Barricades and signs will be in place to help direct traffic. While all lanes will reopen by 4 p.m. today, they will close again on Monday, February 3, at 9 a.m. so crews can continue the work.

Starting Monday, the road will reopen to traffic each day at 4 p.m. and close again at 9 a.m. the following morning until the repairs are finished. Drivers should use caution in the area and expect potential delays.

The Tampa Water Department expects to complete the work and return to normal traffic patterns by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5. However, they may need to return later for additional work, in which case an update will be provided. Work schedules may change depending on weather conditions.
