Traffic Rerouted Between West Averill Avenue and South Kelly Road Until This Afternoon
TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers on Bayshore Boulevard should anticipate delays and a temporary lane closure as the Tampa Water Department conducts emergency maintenance today.
Starting at 9 a.m., the southbound lane of Bayshore Boulevard has been closed to traffic between West Averill Avenue and South Kelly Road. The closure is necessary for crews to perform urgent maintenance on a water main in the area.
Barricades and traffic flaggers are positioned at the site to guide motorists and manage the flow of traffic. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and follow the posted signs.
The Tampa Water Department estimates that the work will be completed, and normal traffic patterns will be restored by 4 p.m. this afternoon. However, the schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions.
