Commuters Advised to Expect Delays and Exercise Caution as Repairs are Underway
TAMPA, Fla. – A water main break has prompted the closure of the southbound lane of Orient Road, between East Broadway Avenue and East 14th Avenue, as the Tampa Water Department works to repair the issue.
Barricades and flaggers are in the area to assist with traffic flow and ensure the safety of both motorists and work crews. Drivers are urged to use caution and patience when navigating through the affected area.

According to the Tampa Water Department, repairs are expected to be completed and normal traffic patterns restored by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3.
However, work schedules are subject to change based on weather conditions. The department also noted that it may be necessary to return to the site at a later date for additional work, and an update would be provided at that time.
