TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Water Department has issued a traffic alert for a northbound section of North Florida Avenue due to a water main break repair.
Effective 9:00 a.m. today, the outside northbound lane is closed between East Clinton Street and East Hamilton Avenue.
City crews have deployed barricades and directional signage to manage vehicle flow through the work zone. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and anticipate minor delays when traveling through this corridor.

The current repair schedule aims for a full reopening by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14. However, project completion is contingent upon weather conditions and the complexity of the repair. Motorists should be aware that lane configurations may be adjusted as work progresses.
While the primary repair is expected to conclude this weekend, the Water Department may require a follow-up visit at a later date for final restoration. Further updates will be released if additional closures are necessary.
