Tampa Traffic Alert: Water Main Maintenance Forces Daily Lane Closures On N. Armenia Ave

TAMPA, Fla. – A section of North Armenia Avenue in Tampa will experience daily lane closures starting today while crews carry out maintenance on the local water system.

Beginning at 9 a.m., workers will block off the outside southbound lane on North Armenia Avenue between West Hillsborough Avenue and West Frierson Avenue. The closure will remain in place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day through 4 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, when traffic patterns are expected to return to normal.

Local authorities have set up barricades and signboards to direct drivers through the area. City officials advise commuters to exercise caution or seek alternative routes to avoid potential delays. Work schedules and lane configurations remain subject to weather conditions and may change as repairs progress.

The city noted that crews could need to re-examine the site down the road, stating, “The Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date to complete additional work. An update will be provided at that time.”
