TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers heading eastbound on West Hillsborough Avenue should prepare for delays starting at 9 a.m. today. The Tampa Water Department is blocking off the outside lane in the stretch between Archstone Drive and Sawyer Road to address a water main break.
Crews are putting up signs and barricades to guide traffic through the area, but the department asks drivers to use caution while work is underway. The current plan is to have the lane reopened and traffic patterns back to normal by 4 p.m. on Friday, July 10.
Keep in mind that this timeline is subject to change based on weather conditions. The city also noted that crews might need to return to the site later to finish up additional work, and they plan to provide updates if that happens.
For the latest on this or any other road closures, residents can check the city’s website at tampa.gov/RoadClosures.
