TAMPA, Fla. – Starting at 9 a.m. today, October 9, 2025, commuters should prepare for a full road closure on West Swann Avenue between South Audubon Avenue and South Habana Avenue. The Tampa Water Department has initiated the closure to conduct essential maintenance on the water distribution system.
All lanes within the affected segment are closed, and the department advises drivers to seek alternate routes and exercise extreme caution when navigating the area. Barricades and signs have been placed to direct traffic and assist with rerouting.
The maintenance work is anticipated to last through the weekend, with a return to normal traffic patterns expected by 4 p.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025.
