Water Main Maintenance Prompts Two-Day Reroute Near Azalea Gardens Place
TAMPA, Fla. – Starting Tuesday at 9 a.m., commuters can expect delays on Causeway Boulevard as the Tampa Water Department begins maintenance on its water distribution system. The outside westbound lane will be closed between Azalea Gardens Place and South 82nd Street.
Drivers should be aware of barricades and signs directing traffic and are advised to seek alternate routes to avoid congestion. The closure is expected to last through Thursday, September 18, with normal traffic patterns resuming by 4 p.m., weather permitting.

The Tampa Water Department has stated that crews may need to return at a later date for additional work, and an update will be provided if that is necessary.
