TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Water Department has announced several road closures and lane restrictions beginning today to accommodate essential water main repairs and maintenance.
Full Road Closure on West Swann Avenue
West Swann Avenue will be fully closed between South Church Avenue and South Dale Mabry Highway starting at 9:00 AM today. This closure is necessary to allow crews to repair a water main break.
- Detour: Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes and follow posted detours.
- Duration: The closure is expected to last until 5:00 PM on Monday, January 13th.

Lane Closure on West Euclid Avenue
The westbound lane of West Euclid Avenue will be closed between South Manhattan Avenue and East Royal Palm Circle starting at 9:00 AM today. This closure will allow crews to perform maintenance on the water distribution system.
- Traffic Flow: Barricades and flaggers will be in place to assist with rerouting and traffic flow.
- Intermittent Closures: The lane will reopen to traffic by 5:00 PM each day and then close again the following morning at 9:00 AM.
- Duration: The work is expected to be completed by 4:00 PM on Friday, January 10th. However, the Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date to complete additional work.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution when traveling in these areas and be aware of workers and equipment. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions.
