Two Arrested In Attempted Abduction Of Tarpon Springs High School Student

 Tarpon Springs police say a female high school student, fought off an attacker Wednesday morning while she walked to her bus stop.

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – Tarpon Springs police say a female high school student, fought off an attacker Wednesday morning while she walked to her bus stop.

According to police, on Wednesday, at approximately 8:00 am, a female juvenile student from Tarpon Springs High School requested to speak with a School Resource Officer.

A Tarpon Springs Police Officer made contact with the student at which time she told police that while she was walking to her bus stop near Grosse. Ave. and Harrison St., an African American middle-aged male subject, got out of an older model silver-colored Nissan pick-up truck and tried to grab her right shoulder.

Police say the student was able to fight the subject off and ran to her bus stop.

Tarpon Springs Police Detectives have made two arrest in this case:

  • Jamichael Antoine Williams, a black male, 38, of Tarpon Springs was charged with one felony count of False Imprisonment.
  • Paul Sylvestor Warren, a black male, 65, of Tarpon Springs was charged with one felony count of False Imprisonment

Both subjects were booked without incident and transported to the Pinellas County jail.

The vehicle used in this incident has been impounded by the Police Department.
