The Teacher Appreciation Drive-By Parade has been rescheduled due to inclement weather. According to official weather reports, Tampa Bay, specifically Hillsborough County, is facing a 60% chance of rain and severe thunderstorms on Monday afternoon.

The parade will move to Wednesday, May 20, at 4:30 p.m. Please do not hesitate to contact with any questions.

Watch as students and families from the St. John’s community host their first-ever Teacher Appreciation Drive-By Parade at St. John’s Middle Division campus. SJE families plan to show faculty and staff from all three campuses their appreciation and love with a caravan of well wishes to show their support and gratitude as students continue remote learning. The Parents’ Club-planned event will display cars decorated with homemade signs and include families playing music and blasting their horns.

What parents don’t know is that St. John’s has planned a surprise parade of its own. Faculty and staff will wear matching #SJETogether t-shirts and display a variety of signage down the streets of Hyde Park to recognize SJE’s #ClassOf2020 and show appreciation for our tight-knit community.

The parade will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m. and follow the School’s Middle Division pick up line (between Zudar’s and Publix). The faculty and staff will line Platt Street, Parker Street, and along with the Middle, Division drop off the sidewalk.
