A new product is on the political market from the marketing machine of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign.

On Twitter on Thursday, Team DeSantis trumpeted a new T-shirt that proclaims Florida is “where woke goes to die.”

The black T-shirt features the image of an alligator overlaid on the map of Florida.

The slogan was taken from comments the Republican governor made after crushing Democrat Charlie Crist by almost 20 points in last November’s election.

“We reject woke ideology,” said DeSantis.

“We fight the woke in the legislature, we fight the woke in the schools, we fight the woke in the corporations. We will never ever surrender to the woke mob. Florida is where woke goes to die.”

The T-shirt follows a line of merchandise that not only promotes the incumbent governor, but also trolls his opponents.

As The Free Press recently reported, when the Biden administration announced that it was working to block sales of gas stoves, DeSantis introduced a yellow apron reminiscent of the Gadsden flag with the image of a stove and the phrase “Don’t tread on Florida.”

His campaign shop also came out with a baby onesie with the slogan “Brandon makes me cry.” That referred to the media spin of NASCAR driver Brandon Brown. After Brown won his first race in 2021, a sports reporter asked him about the crowd chanting “Let’s go Brandon” in the background, when in fact fans were yelling “F— Joe Biden.”

They also distributed coffee mugs that said “I (heart) [either New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or California]. But I wish my governor was Ron DeSantis.”

And then there was the item that started it all, a pair of flip-flops that said “Fauci Can Pound Sand,” a reference to Dr. Anthony Fauci and the numerous times he has reversed course on COVID-19 policies.
