Jamal Black, 19, charged with 2nd-degree murder in the fatal shooting of Tyrone Howard
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg Police have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting that occurred on Emerson Avenue South on September 7th.
On Tuesday, detectives apprehended Jamal Black, 19, in connection with the homicide of Tyrone Howard, 21. Black has been charged with 2nd-degree murder and four counts of violation of felony probation.

The incident unfolded shortly after 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 7th, when a vehicle driven by Howard crashed into a parked car at Robco Transmission & Auto, located at 3101 Emerson Avenue South.
First responders arriving at the scene discovered that Howard had sustained a gunshot wound near the 2900 block of Emerson Avenue South. He was immediately transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation led detectives to Black, who was taken into custody Tuesday morning.Black is being held without bond.
