HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 17-year-old Sandra Jimenez Lopez, who is wanted in connection with the death of a 6-month-old infant.
On February 3, 2024, deputies responded to a 911 call near East 138th Avenue, where they found the infant unresponsive. The child was later pronounced dead, and the death was ruled a homicide.

Lopez, who was the infant’s caretaker, is wanted on a charge of Child Neglect with Great Bodily Harm. She is also known by the alias Maria Jimenez Jimenez.
Lopez was last seen in Las Vegas, Nevada. Detectives are urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200.
