TAMPA, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is investigating a shooting in Tampa on Monday night that left one teenager dead and two other individuals injured.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, when HCSO’s 911 Dispatch Center received a call around 9:30 p.m. reporting a shooting in the 10000 block of Country Hollow Dr. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a deceased male victim with upper body trauma. The victim has since been identified as Trevaun Johnson, 17.

Shortly after, two other individuals arrived at local hospitals suffering from gunshot wounds. Authorities have confirmed they are now in stable condition.

“There is no situation in which this level of violence is acceptable,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “The safety of this community is our top priority, and we will continue doing everything in our power to protect it.”

HCSO detectives currently believe the shooting to be an isolated incident and have made contact with all parties involved. The investigation is ongoing.
