TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. – A Temple Terrace Police officer was rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon following a multi-vehicle collision on Fowler Avenue. The crash, which occurred at approximately 3:43 p.m., triggered an immediate emergency response and a subsequent investigation by state authorities.
Department officials confirmed that the officer involved was traveling along the busy thoroughfare when the incident took place.
While the officer sustained injuries during the impact, they are currently reported to be in stable condition.
Emergency medical teams also evaluated the occupants of the second vehicle at the scene. However, officials have not yet released specific details regarding the status or identity of those individuals.
In a move to maintain impartiality, the Temple Terrace Police Department has handed the reins of the inquiry over to the Florida Highway Patrol.
