Tropical Storm Francine is rapidly intensifying and poses a significant threat to the Louisiana and Texas coastlines. The storm is expected to become a hurricane tonight or tomorrow morning, potentially reaching Category 2 strength before making landfall on Wednesday.
Life-threatening storm surge and damaging hurricane-force winds are possible along the coast, particularly in areas under Hurricane and Storm Surge Warnings. Residents in these areas should heed evacuation orders and complete preparations by Tuesday night.
