The Gloved Hand: Piers Morgan Slams Mark Levin Over War Rhetoric And ‘Graveyard’ TV Slot

Piers Morgan fired back at Fox News host Mark Levin on Thursday, escalating a public feud centered on the United States’ ongoing involvement in the Iran war. The confrontation began after Levin used social media to attack critics of the conflict, leading Morgan to dedicate a segment of his show, “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” to dismantling Levin’s credibility and consistency.

The dispute ignited when Levin took to X to label Morgan a “vile asshole” following a series of discussions where Morgan and Sirius XM host Megyn Kelly questioned Levin’s tendency to equate anti-Zionism with antisemitism.

Levin has previously characterized podcasters and public figures who oppose the war as “woke Reich Neo-fascists,” going as far as to suggest they should be censored.

During his broadcast, Morgan dismissed Levin as a “little-known American broadcaster” occupying a “Sunday night graveyard slot” with minimal viewership.

Morgan argued that Levin only recently gained wider attention through aggressive social media outbursts directed at various public figures. He noted that Levin had previously insulted Megyn Kelly as a “degenerate bigot,” Dave Smith as a “grifting imbecile,” and Congressman Ro Khanna as a “Jew-hating demagogue.”

Morgan pointed to what he described as Levin’s blatant hypocrisy regarding political rhetoric. He highlighted past statements where Levin condemned liberals for comparing Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler, calling such comparisons “disgusting and dehumanizing.” However, Morgan noted that Levin now uses similar Nazi-themed imagery to describe anyone who disagrees with the current military intervention in Iran.

“In a nutshell, therefore, Mark Levin is a big advocate for free speech so long as you agree with him,” Morgan said. He further quipped that if Levin called him a “vile asshole,” it was because Levin is a “world expert” on the subject.

Levin remains a staunch supporter of the war, which President Donald Trump entered on Feb. 28. While the administration’s initial stance was complex, an April 21 State Department release confirmed the U.S. joined the conflict on behalf of Israel. This followed a Feb. 11 White House meeting where Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other officials presented the case for war to the President.

Morgan concluded by suggesting Levin’s current stance mirrors his past support for censoring discussions surrounding the COVID-19 lab leak theory and the Hunter Biden laptop story, labeling him a selective defender of the First Amendment.
