POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A 42-year-old Auburndale woman was arrested following a police encounter where she allegedly tried to convince deputies she was someone else. Alisa Dawn Hunt was taken into custody on February 3 after Polk County Sheriff’s deputies tracked her down at a home on Mineola Drive.
The search for Hunt began because of an outstanding warrant involving four third-degree felonies: grand theft, defrauding to obtain property, using the identification of another person without consent, and the unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
Acting on a tip about her location, deputies arrived at the residence to serve the warrant.
When authorities located her inside the house, the situation took a confrontational turn. According to investigators, Hunt initially identified herself as “Britney.” When deputies pressed her for a surname, she reportedly refused to provide one, telling the officers that she knew the law and was not required to disclose it.

Despite the attempt to bypass identification, deputies confirmed her identity and placed her under arrest. During the subsequent search, officials reported finding a glass pipe containing methamphetamine and two syringes in her possession.
The afternoon ended at the Sheriff’s Processing Center, where Hunt was booked on her original warrant. She now faces a list of new charges, including possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting an officer without violence, and providing a false ID to law enforcement.
