Three Arrested After Kidnapping And Assault Investigation In Hillsborough County

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – Hillsborough County deputies have taken three men into custody following a kidnapping investigation that began early Sunday morning. The arrests of Dalberto Mena Schueg, 35, Brayan Parada Balboa, 21, and Danilo Maturell Coasta, 25, come after a victim was reportedly forced into a vehicle and held against her will for several hours.

The incident started around 6 a.m. on March 15, 2026. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Mena Schueg and Parada Balboa approached the victim and forced her into a car. Investigators say the suspects then drove her to a second location within the county.

Once there, the victim was battered, sustaining visible injuries. Parada Balboa and Maturell Coasta then allegedly kept her at that location until she managed to escape and find help.

Authorities caught up with all three men the following day. Mena Schueg and Parada Balboa both face charges of kidnapping, false imprisonment, tampering with a witness, and battery. Maturell Coasta was charged with false imprisonment.

“This was a violent and deeply concerning incident that put a victim’s life at serious risk, but thanks to the swift response and relentless work of our deputies, those responsible are now in custody,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Let this serve as a clear message: if you commit violent crimes in our community, you will be found, and you will be held fully accountable.”

The Sheriff’s Office noted that the investigation is still active.
