TAMPA, Fla. – Three juveniles are facing a total of 13 charges, including 11 felonies, after being arrested in a stolen vehicle that also contained a stolen firearm following a police pursuit overnight in Tampa.
The arrests were the result of a coordinated effort between the Tampa Police Department (TPD) and the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
“Thanks to the outstanding efforts of our officers and our partners with the Florida Highway Patrol, these teens who were committing multiple felonies will now be held accountable, and a stolen gun has been taken off the street,” said Chief Lee Bercaw. “It should be clear that those who choose to participate in criminal and reckless behavior will be held accountable in the City of Tampa.”

The incident began on October 8, 2025, when a 2015 Mercedes sedan was reported stolen around 2:00 a.m. Later that night, just before 8:30 p.m., TPD officers located the vehicle near N. 30th St. and E. Lake Ave. When officers attempted a stop, the driver fled, initiating a brief pursuit due to the vehicle being operated in a careless manner.
The chase was quickly terminated as TPD Air Service took over, providing critical updates to ground units. Officers successfully deployed spike strips to slow the vehicle. The pursuit ended when the Florida Highway Patrol executed a PIT maneuver, bringing the stolen car to a stop in the area of Hanna Ave near N. 56th St.
Three juvenile suspects were taken into custody. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers recovered a stolen semi-automatic 9mm firearm.
TPD reported that two of the arrested juveniles have “prolific criminal histories,” including previous charges for Grand Theft Auto, Fraud, and Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
The suspects are now facing numerous charges:
- Sincere Williams, 16 (driver): Five felonies, including Armed Burglary of Conveyance, Fleeing and Attempting To Elude a Police Officer, Carrying Concealed Firearm, and Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony. He also faces two misdemeanors: No Valid Driver’s License and Minor in Possession of a Firearm.
- Samir Williams, 15: Three felonies, including Possession of Burglary Tools, Burglary of an Occupied Conveyance While Wearing a Mask, and Grand Theft Auto.
- Omari Lewis, 16: Three felonies, including Possession of Burglary Tools, Burglary of an Occupied Conveyance While Wearing a Mask, and Grand Theft Auto.
In total, the suspects are facing 11 felony and two misdemeanor charges as a result of the overnight incident.
